Who We Are
Patty norman
Patty has worked as the Children’s Bookseller and the Director of Kids Events at Copperfield’s for 19 years. She has seen, firsthand, the impact an author can have on a student. She raised one passionate reader—now a children’s book editor—and one math whiz who has recently developed his own passion for reading. She fervently believes reading leads to world peace.
Shannon morgan stearns
Shannon is a seasoned business leader and brand strategist. Currently serving as CEO at Stasher, she has held leadership positions for nonprofit, outdoor, and retail brands. She’s raising three voracious readers and can usually be found trying to coax one of them out of Copperfield’s Books in Petaluma.
jason sutter
Jason began his career in education in 1994 as an instructional aide and became an elementary teacher three years later. He moved to the County Office of Education and worked for seven years as an Educational Technology Coordinator. He has spent the last 10 years as a principal in Petaluma and Sonoma. He now works as the Assistant Superintendent-Human Resources for Petaluma City Schools. He lives in Sonoma with his wife, four children, and a house full of books.
